Commercial Tree Surveys
Surveys Carried Out Across The U.K.
We specialise in commercial tree surveys for developments, this involves assessing which trees may need to be removed to facilitate the development and which could be retained for landscaping (proposed amenity value) post development.
All of our commercial tree surveys are carried out in accordance with British Standard BS5837: 2012 Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction – Recommendations to identify suitable retention trees. A constraints plan in the survey results will indicate development constraints. These constraints cover: tree position, future crown spread, root protection area, shade assessment, useful life expectancy of retained trees and wildlife features (e.g. birds, nests, bat roosts as per the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981).
Trees may also be the subject of a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), or may be located within a Conservation Area. A notice of intent or application for work to protected trees will be submitted where required.
Tree Safety Surveys
Safety Assessments Carried Out Across The U.K.
We carryout complex and detailed commercial tree safety survey for a wide range of clients such as schools and housing associations. These tree surveys are usually supplied on a three-year rolling schedule. Trees are assessed and tagged on site, marked on mapping and data tables with a covering report is supplied. Only trees requiring works within the three-year time frame will have data recorded but all trees will be inspected within falling distance of people or property.
The land owner has a ‘Duty of Care’ to maintain trees in a safe condition, irrespective of where they are located or proximity to the general public.
